Job Description

Ensures and maintains a clean, sanitary comfortable, orderly and satisfying surroundings for the patients, employees, and public, including maintaining sanitary conditions which prevent the spread of infection and odors by following the required procedures for handling, cleaning, disposing, or moving of objects/materials and/or the clean-up of blood, infectious materials, or body fluids containing blood in accordance with the OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen Standard. Able to Maintaining cleanliness of the operating rooms, Surgical Services suite Maintaining cleanliness of the operating rooms, Surgical Services suite strictly follow terminal cleaning protocols based on Infection Prevention, AORN and CDC for operating room standards. Performs a wider range of housekeeping tasks and projects while maintaining infection control standards of cleanliness and sanitation. Additional duties may consist of performing complete floor care throughout the facility to include wet mopping, dry mopping, scouring, stripping, waxing, buffing, carpet/upholstery extraction, bonnet cleaning and vacuuming.

Education:  High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience: Previous housekeeping and 1 year of floor care experience is preferred.
